What happens when you treat religion as science?

There’s an interesting post on the audacity of individuality, How creationism destroys faith. Like me he thinks that if you argue that Creationism is scientifically correct then you invite mockery. He also links to YouTube with Ricky Gervais explaining how creation works. I’ve linked to a less choppily edited version with a bit more swearing in it, but it comes in two parts.
